I’m Ilona…

a fiery and passionate Artisan, Alchemist, Wellbeing and Empowerment Strategist.

You could say I’m multi-passionate… an artist, entrepreneur, wife, mother, sister and daughter who’s spent a lot of time in the realms of psychology, business, holistic wellness and intuitive development. 

I am a modern woman, in a modern world, who is embracing the traditions and wisdom of the women who came before me. The women in my ancestry were healers, intuitive women gifted in practical magic and the wisdom of Mother Nature and our Universe, who used their power and resilience to overcome circumstances that undoubtedly left scars emotionally, psychologically and physically. Growing up I was eager to learn from them, always watching and taking it all in. Then, somewhere along the way, the modern world conditioned me to think it wasn’t to like the things I did. I kept my interests in the healing arts largely to myself for fear it would make me appear even more like an outcast then I already was amongst the rest of the people in my schools and society. I pursued a career in Accounting and Human Resources instead, subscribing myself to the status quo and eventually opting to become a stay-at-home Mom to my three incredible daughters.

Somewhere along the way it became more and more clear to me that I wasn’t happy. Sure, I love my husband, my kids and my life, but something was missing. And because I had spent so long using my skills to support everyone else, I no longer knew what I wanted and what would make me happy. As they say, I had “lost myself”. I was frustrated, resentful, burnt out and angry. I had navigated eating disorders, PCOS, autoimmune hypothyroidism, anxiety, and all the other things that come with being a busy, achievement oriented woman in today’s patriarchal, stress filled, fast paced world. And I know I’m one of the privileged and fortunate ones! 2008 marked a turning point in myself that I didn’t realize until years later. When my grandmother passed, something sparked in me that awaken me to the gifts I have always had but had buried for years. I have no doubt she was supporting me from the other side, nudging me to step into my gifts and into my power.

Since then I have worked to bring those abilities into the forefront, and that often means challenging long held stereotypes and beliefs that our society has about women, the healing arts and intuitive work. With the help of some incredible mentors and so many amazing women in my tribe, I have developed my abilities and combined them with my modern world wisdom. I dug deep, did A LOT of personal work, went back to my roots and rediscovered my love for practical magic, ancient wisdom, medicine, the Universe and most of all, healing. Without even realizing it, I have accumulated 25 years of experience in psychology, women’s issues, holistic nutrition, plant and crystal healing, divination, astrology, aromatherapy, energy healing, business, entrepreneurship, and am currently completing my Masters in Counseling Psychology.

Born from the passion created through my own alchemical journey of personal transformation, I founded The House of Alchemy with the intention of using and sharing my knowledge and experience in science, nature and intuition to guide others in transforming their own lives. For some this looks like using the intentional products I create. For others its through working with me receiving Card Readings, 1:1 sessions or Intuitive Healing Sessions. For some it’s all of the above.

As an Alchemist I support each client in igniting the power within themselves, create an extraordinary life that reflects their passion, purpose and potential.  This is truly the essence of Modern Alchemy.

I believe each woman is powerful and unique, so I use a customized approach with each client. This creates space for them to reclaim their power as a Wise Woman in this lifetime.

The result: an empowered woman who embodies a fully integrated, authentic self.
